Computerized Estimating Level 100 - Takeoff

Instructor: Greg Fuller

This computerized estimating course is designed to teach novice estimators sound principles and proven methodologies of hands-on professional estimating. This intensive course will set students on the path to becoming more proficient and productive estimators by focusing on estimating techniques that emphasize accuracy and detail during takeoff. In addition to being taught hands-on techniques for counting and measuring materials during the takeoff phase, students are shown how to organize those takeoffs into logical and functional breakdowns, setting the stage for proper bid review, material co-ordination, scheduling, and effective project management.

Throughout the five-day course, students will exercise these principles and techniques by performing an instructor-led real-world type estimate from start to finish, using the latest in state-of-the-art software, tools, and materials.

Upon successful course completion the student will have sufficient knowledge to complete an estimate and prepare a formal bid with confidence.

Dynamic Takeoffs

Create custom project specific assemblies on-the-fly for fixtures, gears, controls, etc. Dynamic takeoffs automatically calculate required quantities for each component in an assembly based on the length or count you specify.

Live Extensions

Our Live Extension instantly calculates every takeoff as it occurs. Quickly and easily sort the extended bill of material by system, area, drawing, phase, location, labor factor, sort codes, unit price, or item, by single or multiple levels to perform reasonable checks. Sort by system and view total material costs for each system.

Instant Bid Summary

Get the power to analyze and compare bids to similar jobs. With Accubid Pro, compare components of the estimate using labor-to-material ratios, costs per foot per system or per floor. With Pro or BidWinner Plus you can create multiple bid summaries, each with a different combination of takeoff breakdowns. Last minute adjustments, modifications, and 'what-ifs' are easily and seamlessly accommodated.
